Service Engineer – Emissions Monitoring

ENVEA Inc. is a leader in the field of supplying Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems and analyzers for compliance and process monitoring and ambient air monitoring applications. Preference is to be based in the state of Texas although other locations can be considered.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Installation, maintenance, repair, and technical customer support of Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) throughout North America
  • Train customer personnel after initial system installation and startup
  • Manage and control field inventory, tools, supplies, and technical documentation pertaining to a service call.
  • Obtain and maintain a thorough knowledge of the CEMS industry including applications in which instruments/systems are used and general knowledge of EPA air quality regulations
  • Prepare and submit accurate field service documentation in detail and complete forms for customers, as well as accounting, quality control, engineering and management as required
  • Serve as a company liaison with customers on administrative and technical matters to interpret and resolve problems.
  • On-site customer support for system testing and audits
  • Promote the growth of ENVEA Inc by actively identifying potential sales and service contract opportunities, communicate regularly with sales managers regarding such leads as well as customer satisfaction issues

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of electronic technology applications or electronic service experience; will consider recent graduates with practical work experience in an electronics environment
  • Degree/college education in Electronics Technology or similar discipline or equivalent military education/experience
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Currently Authorized for Work in USA for at least 7 Years
  • 75% overnight travel
  • Ability to complete required safety training courses

  • Ability to read electrical schematics
  • Knowledge of analog and digital electronic circuitry and microcontrollers
  • Strong work ethic showing thought and problem-solving ability
  • Attention to detail and ability to plan ahead
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Dependable, organized, self-directed, highly motivated, and enthusiastic
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., climb a ladder, comfortable with extended heights, and able to withstand extreme environmental temperatures
  • Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English
  • Hold a current passport or ability to obtain a US passport for possible work in Canada

Salary

  • Negotiable, with comprehensive benefit plan
