Industry: odor, gas and dust leak detection

Process leakage detection | AirSafe 2 | Cairnet® | Reference AAQMS monitors

Your facilities and equipment can cause fugitive emissions, leading to environmental pollution and financial losses for your business. We offer a wide range of gas and particulate analyzers to monitor 24h/day your facility and accurately identify sources of leaks.

Odors can thus be immediately linked to your operations, identify system leaks, and act quickly to reduce them for the comfort and the health of all, employees and residents. This proactive approach provides tangible elements in reducing complaints bringing significant savings in operating costs, as well. Measurement is the key to improvement.

PARTICULATES LEAKAGE DETECTION

To monitor the particle concentration in the ambient air of silos, conveyor lines and adjacent areas, plant managers are looking for a safe and maintenance-free way to detect dust leaks oftenly linked to process malfunctions.

Due to the degree of dust contamination in these parts of the plant and the cleaning and maintenance efforts required, optical techniques are not an option. The monitoring device is expected to accurately detect limit values and the exceedance of predefined values are to be quickly reported to the control room. This is for obvious health reasons, but also to limit the risk of explosion in the event of a malfunction leading to an increase in the level of particles in the air.

SOLUTION

The AirSafe 2 is a stand-alone device that uses electrodynamic technology to measure the concentration of airborne particulate matter in the plant in real time. Ready to use, it can be easily installed in the process area you wish to monitor: silo areas, dust collectors, discharge area, in the control room, exhaust duct, in the boiler room in the filtered dust storage area, etc.

If the preset limit values are exceeded, AirSafe 2 sends a signal to the control room which can trigger the appropriate measures. An EX version is available for use in explosive areas, AirSafe being certified for ATEX Zone 1 and Ex zone 21

CUSTOMER BENEFITS

  • Fast response of the sensor in case of exceeding limit levels
  • Improvement of plant security and prevention of plant damages
  • Easy monitoring of remote system components
  • Prevent hazardous exposure of employees
  • Prevents dust accumulation that could increase the risk of explosion
  • Reduces cleaning costs by lowering the amount of dust that is usually deposited on floors and machines
  • Reduction in the frequency of machine breakdowns and malfunctions due to dust deposits.

Function: Continuous process monitoring & detection of dust leakage in sensitive areas of the plant

ODORS & PROCESS GAS LEAKAGE DETECTION

There are many industries with diffuse sources of odorous, non-odorous gases and particulates that can be unhealthy.

Odor emissions are mainly caused by diffusion from surfaces exposed to the atmosphere such as landfills, waste deposits, sewage, ponds, tanks, buildings, or from leaking pipes or equipment.

The monitoring of gas pollutants and particulates in ambient air aims at preventing complaints from the neighbourhood, protecting workers and neighbours’ health, and ensuring an efficient and environmentally friendly operation of the site.

SOLUTION

ENVEA offers turnkey solutions for real-time on-site air quality monitoring. They include fixed stations and mobile labs featuring a full range of eco-designed, connected reference analyzers that are certified and approved by major labs and organizations around the world. ENVEA produces a full range of internationally certified and approved air quality monitors required when monitoring is being used for the assessment.

Worldwide Governments in their respective regions formulated different regulations to curb the level of air pollution originated from industrial areas. Thus, in many countries such as India, Egypt, etc. industries such as oil & gas, fertilizer plants, pharmaceutical or chemical plants, airports, cement industry, as well as power generation and many others  have to comply with such regulations with deployment of air quality monitors to control and monitor the level of pollutants.

These Regulatory monitoring solutions can be combined with micro-sensor based Cairnet® mini stations, powered by solar panels and located across the site. Data acquisition and management is centralized thanks to ENVEA’s cloud-based systems, so you can access your data anywhere at any time via the web on your PC or smartphone.
