Das Zubehörteil dient der automatischen Kalibrierung des Mercury Ultratracers UT-3000 in Monitoring-Systemen bei niedrigen bis mittleren Hg-Konzentrationen.
Die automatische Kalibriereinheit enthält ein mit elementarem Quecksilber gefülltes speziell angefertigtes Gefäß. Es ist in ein Aluminiumgehäuse eingebettet, das von einem Peltierkühler gekühlt wird. Zur automatischen Kalibrierung saugt eine motorbetriebene Spritze ein definiertes Volumen an Hg-gesättigter Luft aus dem Hg-Gefäß und führt sie dem UT-3000 zu.
